Hackers took over a politics Twitter feed belonging to US broadcaster Fox News announcing that President Barack Obama had been shot dead on America's national day.

The foxnewspolitics feed stated: "BarackObama has just passed. The President is dead. A sad 4th of July, indeed. President Barack Obama is dead."

Just an hour before the message, there was a post "Just regained full access to our Twitter and email. Happy 4th". July 4 is America's national day.

Even nearly three hours after the last twitter update on the account wishing luck to the "new" President John Biden, none of the messages have been removed.

Life in Tihar Tea with jail official, chatting with friends

High tea with the jail superintendent, freedom to enter, leave prison cells or meet co-accused, unrestricted access to jail premises — this is what life is like in Tihar Jail for the high-profile accused in the country`s two biggest scams —2G spectrum scam and Commonwealth Games.

On a surprise visit to the jail on Thursday, inspecting trial court judge Brijesh Kumar Garg was aghast to see that "high profile undertrial prisoners (UTP) were being given undue liberty by the jail authorities". While sacked Games Organizing Committee chief Suresh Kalmadi was having tea and snacks with the jail superintendent in his chamber, the judge found that the cells of 2G spectrum accused were unlocked and "all the high profile UTPs were able to roam around and interact with each other".

In a report to the district and sessions judge, Garg said he was "surprised to see Kalmadi, who is in judicial custody in connection with the Time-Scoring-Result contract scam, was sitting with jail superintendent Bharadwaj and was enjoying tea/coffee and biscuits/namkeen".

After allowing Baba Ramdev to share the dais with him during his fast in Jantar Mantar in April and later voicing support to the yoga guru, veteran Gandhian Anna Hazare has now laid down a set of "conditions" for Ramdev before letting him join his proposed fast in August. Speaking to TV reporters in Maharashtra late Sunday, Anna Hazare said: "Baba has expressed his wish to sit on fast with me but I have placed a set of demands in front of him. If they are met, then I will think about it." Adding to it, a member of civil society activists led by Hazare said in Delhi: "This is not the first time that Anna has said this. Earlier too he had mentioned that he will welcome Baba Ramdev to join his fast only after they talked about certain issues." Anna Hazare has announced that he will sit on another fast on August 16 at Jantar Mantar for a strong Lokpal Bill. While he supported Ramdev's campaign against corruption and even sat on a one-day fast after the yoga guru was ousted from the capital's Ramlila Ground amid bedlam on June 5, his statement of raising an army of 11,000 young men and women to strike back when attacked did not go down well with Hazare and his team. Ramdev returned to the capital on Sunday and accused the police of trying to kill him and assaulting women during the June 5 crackdown, when they were protesting against corruption.
